We are a diverse group of people with different backgrounds and educations which support our focus on sustainable development and architecture. We design, build, consult , document and offer open source knowledge for those who want to build and live sustainably.
Ted Elsasser, the licensed contractor and intern architect, worked with Earthship Biotecture for 17 years learning from architect, Micheal Reynolds, the best way to integrate natural systems in a home and to build with tires, cans and bottles. During that time he also diversified with other architects and builders to learn building methods that include straw bale, rammed earth, earth-bag, adobe, cob, gabion baskets and a host of experimental building methods. His design/construction company is Southwest Sustainable Builders.
